Track the seasons.

It’s a good idea to make a list of the seasons in your story. What is winter? What is summer? Where does summer end, and where does winter begin?

Make a chart so you can write accurately about the weather.

Are any scenes taking place during the wrong season?

You’ll be surprised. Your script may be mostly winter, with little tiny summers. Or vice versa.

Tracking the seasons accurately will help you make adjustments. And, once you know where the seasons begin and end, you’ll be able to write in the weather as a “character.” If you don’t know when it’s winter, you can’t have cold affecting your story.

Same for summer sweat.

Which is what I’m dealing with these days…
